A black-haired twenty-eight year old with cerulean blue with yellow streaks glowing dim as an ember, K'tarin may seem to those who come across him as a friendly, fun-loving and happy-go-lucky Miqo'te. Standing at five flums and eight ilms, this Keeper of the Sun can often be found just about anywhere, adventuring, hunting, running odd jobs as a courier and sometimes as a mercenary.But while he may be often seen with friends and found family, one can often catch him staring off into the distance, the happiness a facade to mask the cold and lonely stare that often hides in his eyes.While he may seem a decent sort, K'tarin often worries that his past, both in his time serving in the Ceruleum Refineries in Northern Thanalan and a shady period of his life working to square his debts in Limsa Lominsa, would finally catch up to him one day, and often raises his guard around Garleans, their sympathizers and Vylbrand's underground of pirates and crooks.K'Tarin is a capable fighter and prefers gunblades and swords. He likes tinkering with his gunblade at home when not out running jobs. If you need a bodyguard, a package delivered or someone to drive you around, he would always make himself available, for friends, or for the right amount of coin...

THE ACCIDENT IN NORTHERN THANALAN. K'Tarin's eyes are not blue by choice, and shared his mother's eye color once, which were yellow. He was involved in an accident while trying to escape the Ceruleum Refinery in Northern Thanalan, which caused a rupture in a pocket of corrupted Aether Crystals that blinded him temporarily and caused the change in eyecolor when he was younger and therefore, they have a distinct glow to them. If you're a Garlean, you may notice it or if you've had dealings with Castrum Meridianum you may know K'tarin and can ask him about it. Voidsent and Aether Sensitives may sense his corrupted aether is what is forcing him to use magitech and ceruleum infused bullets instead of purer magicks, and he does have a slight potential of embracing a darker side...

THE GRAVE OF K'RESSA MARIS. On certain days, K'tarin may be found sitting by a grave in Eastern Thanalan. It is there, a headstone is laid. Simply carved upon its face are the words: "K'ressa Maris. Beloved Mother." His closest friends know to find him there on the 10th Sun of the Second Umbral Moon of Nymeia, where he sits and talks to the ghost of his mother, wondering if she ever hears him...

A NAME THAT BEARS NO MEANING. K'tarin goes only by Tarin and rarely ever uses his tribal relation. Though he knows that he may have siblings out there and that his father may yet still be alive, he cares not for those things. Still, if you find the name relevant to you, you could try to warm him up to the idea of reconnecting...

A DEATH IN THE FAMILY. K'tarin travelled with a rag-tag group of misfits who got themselves into a lot of trouble in Vylbrand. They wound up in gangs, committed piracy and caused all sorts of mischief, yet somehow managed to evade the law. But the day they broke apart would be the day that would always haunt him. Escaping from a sinking ship, his boyfriend, a Hyur Midlander boy named Ollie Ransom, was lost at sea, and presumed dead. He would never forgive himself, and time has not seemed to dull the pain. Yet the group of misfits exist out there. Somewhere. And if you fit the description, you may wish to reconnect. Or who knows? You could even be Ollie, back from the grave to haunt him one last time...

K'Tarin has recently begun working with several people from the Hei Mao and works with Phron'to Audariah and the Gold Saucer, running deliveries for them all across Eorzea. He joins them on several adventures as well, as it's a great way to make friends and get paid in the process.
